Hey Joe,

I’m done with city living, we are planning on putting our home on the market. Since Covid, we are both working from and doing some home schooling as well, but the kids will be going back to school full time or that is what we are being told.

We had our agent go through the home last week and gave us an estimate of value along with a couple of items she recommended we do before the home goes on the market.

I estimate we will have about $200,000 to put down for our next home. We have already gotten some idea of prices to the area we want to move. Looks like we will need a mortgage between $400,000 and $450,000.

Our jobs are the same and income is about $250,000 so we should qualify just fine, can you get us a pre-qualification letter so that we can begin to get our search started?

I have been in the mortgage business a long time and I have never seen this type of migration out of the cities, especially the large cities.

 

I am actually seeing a lot of new construction going on in more rural areas than I have seen in years. One more reason we are doing many more construction loans.

Good morning Joe. The once super hot downtown Chicago market now has a 24 month supply that is growing. The suburbs are hot but many rural areas are seeing new construction. The trend out of the city is growing. Enjoy your day!
