“Is It Time to Get back into the Mortgage Business?”

“Is It Time to Get back into the Mortgage Business?”

Hi Joe,

I have been following your mortgage practice for many years and have always admired the way you do business. I have actually referred clients a number of times in the last few years. Here is my question, is it time for me to get back into business as I was in it for many years?

Following my sudden loss of opportunity in the mortgage business, I found myself with some tough choices and with a family supporting me I chose to not miss a beat. I quickly relied on my other talents and began a Home Improvement Contracting Business which with my clear focus, networking skills, home improvement skills and to always deliver what I promise and then some; the business became hugely successful, but have always missed the mortgage business.

If I can, I want to transition back and would like to discuss the possibility of joining your company. Would you be willing to meet with me to discuss?

90% of the mortgage broker loan officers left the business from 2006 to 2009. Most could not survive. Many could not pass the Federal and State exams, as a result many went to work for banks which doesn’t say much for the hiring process for banks in this country. Just as many found other types of careers, looking for somewhat of a steady income, even though the income was much less than they were used to.

It is a damn shame that this individual chose to leave the business even though he was damn good at it as he always focused on making a difference in people’s lives. Anyone that has a focus of making a difference in the lives of their clients should have a place in the mortgage business.

Good morning Joe. The good ones survive the down periods, the rest look for something else. He should concentrate on the business he now has. Enjoy your day!

Good morning Joe. I am glad you appreciate the nuances your friend spoke of. I hope it works out for you both.
