It was recommended we get prequalified to take the next step and looking for options outside Farm Credit East for lending on a property like this. Getting financing for horse farms, hobby farms and homes with acreage have often been a challenge, but that is not the case here. Most of the time we can do these mortgages with as little as 5% down with amortization going to 30 years.
