Hi Joe,

Sorry to bother you over the weekend, but wanted to spend a few minutes sharing our thoughts about buying a home this year vs next year. We actually went through the same conversation last year and it seems like homes are costing more this year, will they be less next year or even the following year?

We keep reading about the possibility that home values will be coming down in 2019 and 2020. What do you think?

 

 

I wish I was clairvoyant, but I have no clue. They are currently paying $2800 per month for rent. In the price range we discussed they would be paying closer to $2400 which is already a win. They will be able to deduct the interest, plus a couple of other deductions and save nearly $5,000 a year compared to the rent they would be paying.

 

Also, it’s important to note that they have no plans on moving as their families live in the area and family means everything to them. They are not buying this home to sell anytime soon. My advice is...buy your home now!

Frankly, around here I cannot recall of anyone paying that amount for rentals.  Regardless it is a great time to purchase.
