“A Home Inspection is a MUST!”

“A Home Inspection is a MUST!”

I promise not to question your recommendations again. Can’t believe I was actually so naïve that we thought a home inspection was not necessary, especially since I am a building contractor. This was one of those times my wife talks about from time to time, that I think I know more than I really do.

As you know we had an inspection done and there are many things wrong with the house. The home inspector really knew his stuff. Through the Realtor we have informed the seller what we want repaired and have told them if they don’t work with us, we’re going to walk. Heading back to CT, we’ll talk on Monday.

Occasionally, I get pushback from a client regarding a home inspection. Clients that are in a contracting field are often the culprits. I promise you they don’t know what a good home inspector knows, especially when they think they can fix anything, and it won’t cost that much.

I can never understand why someone thinks the cost of a home inspection is too expensive or even an unnecessary expense. To me, this is a very inexpensive insurance policy.

Good morning, Joe Petrowsky It's more expensive NOT to have a home inspection....foolish not to have one....

I totally agree. Home inspections can highlight so many things that most people (even contractors) won't notice.

I say join the club! I am big on recommending whole house inspec;tions to all my clients and have a document indicating that I presented them with that option and indicate whether or not they are electing to do inspecctions

Morning Joe.

A home inspection and a home warranty, regardless of the age of the home, is always worth the cost.

I deal primarily with new construction and even on these I emphasize an inspection is necessary. The new home was built by humans.
