“Renovation Loan Inspectors and Consultants”

“Renovation Loan Inspectors and Consultants”

Hey Joe,

Another question...………. do we have to use a certain home inspector or does it matter with this type of loan. You didn't mention anything about it so I am guessing I can choose my own.

Thanks, Wendy

Most renovation loans involve a home inspector, renovation consultant and an appraiser. Costs vary depending on different parts of the country and how extensive the renovation is. The costs can typically vary from $1500 to $3000. Also keep in mind that these fees are paid in advance of a closing.

Most clients are better off to get the recommendations from their Realtor or the lender for the best home inspectors and consultants.
