I have been researching “bank statement loans” and found your article here:
I live in Massachusetts and have been self-employed since 2006. I refinanced our main residence going the conventional route 3 years ago, but my wife and I are considering moving and I don’t think traditional financing will work for us this time around. My credit rating is 817, but I don’t have the income to qualify for any homes we are considering looking at.
Please let me know if these sorts of programs are still in existence and if you have any interest in helping us look further into it.
This was an underserved market place for a number of years. It seemed there was a point in the lender world that if you were breathing you could get a mortgage. That is not the case with today’s bank statement loans.
The lenders that are offering this mortgage product do a lot of due diligence to make sure that the borrowers can make the mortgage payment going forward. This loan is a perfect fit for these clients.
