Not uncommon in markets where there are more home buyers than listings available. But the client was getting to a point that if he didn’t find a home, he would wait until next year. My advice was next year may be worse, so don’t give up the search, especially when you may see the home you really want.

People should be ready to pounce when they find the right property. In these markets, it seems pre-approval is the better measure to strive for.

I always tell the buyers that they shouldn't give up especially in the 4th quarter which tends to favor the buyer.
