“Absolutely NO Down Payment Required”

 “Absolutely NO Down Payment Required”

Not sure if you lend in Maine but I read a blog that you wrote about usda mortgages that require no down payment. We have decent credit, but we are getting tired of paying rent and have nothing to show for it.

We spoke to our credit union, but they said they couldn’t help us. So, let me know if you can assist us or if you can’t maybe you can make a recommendation.

Josh

I let Josh know that we lend in Maine and the rest of New England as well, along with New York and Florida. He and his wife were very well qualified and fortunately the family income did not exceed the county limits that were allowed.

As I took them through the qualifying process we estimated that a mortgage payment would be around $1000, about the same as their current rent.

Why rent and collect rent slips when you can have a mortgage, own your own home, take advantage of the interest write off and start building equity?

Who do you know in the 8 states that I am licensed that needs my help?

I'll admit, Joe, I love those VA and USDA loans when I can make them happen for my qualified buyers!

There are a number of programs that we are seeing with the no down payment option...a good thing with all other parts in check.

Good Morning Joe -  It does not hurt to speak to a mortgage professional to learn all the options.  The banks and credit unions don't work very hard for the buyer.

Hey Joe Petrowsky Does USDA allow seller contributions so that they could pay the buyer's closing costs too?

What a great alternative.  I wish we had more properties that would offer a $1,000 a month payment.  Maybe in the 4 corners of Colorado, but not in Denver.

Once again, you saved the day! You're a breath of fresh air and a sigh of great relief for many people who want to buy rather than lease! Keep doing what you're doing because you do it so well!

Joe, I like that you are solution oriented and you know what works best for individuals without saying, I'm sorry...

I say that all the time...why rent when you can buy? With today's interest rates, real estate is a great investment.

Joe

It makes good sense to stop renting and to buy a home.

Good luck and success.
