“The Minute I Hear Veteran, it has my Attention”

Hello Joe,

My name is Amanda and my husband and I have currently started to look for a home to move into by May of this year. My husband and I are both vets with a daughter and a cat. We are a quiet family. My husband is the only one currently working but he is also in the process of getting into the police academy here in Connecticut. We both receive benefits from the military and were hoping it would be possible to first look at this home and then possibly talk about renting out until we can get a home loan due to bad credit that we are currently repairing. Have been reading some of your blogs and it seems like you could be the person that can help us. I'm hoping that we may possibly be a good fit to work together. If you could contact myself at (860)-XXXXXXX or my husband Shawn at (860)-XXXXXXX or you can email me back. Hope to hear from you soon.

I have such a soft spot for veterans current and past, it doesn’t matter. They have served our country and I see it as my responsibility to do everything humanly possible to assist them any way that I can. No matter how difficult the transaction may be. I will do everything necessary to get any credit issues resolved and put them into a position to own a home.

Wish you would write a blog about the basic steps a vet should take to help their credit and how long it might take. I know, it sounds so elementary, but many just don't know. Coming from you who has helped so many, it would mean a lot.

We just got a listing today because we told the vet how much we loved working with vets and needed to drop everything we were doing to help them. And it's true. Because the fact is in Sacramento many listing agents still, in this day and age, advise their sellers to turn down offers from vets due to misunderstandingsabout VA loans.
