“Does Your Blogging Efforts Get Your Message Out?”

“Does Your Blogging Efforts Get Your Message Out?”

I have been reading your blogs for the past couple of months on your Right Trac Facebook page. My girlfriend Peggy XXXXX told me about you, you did a mortgage for her and her husband about a year ago.

In one of them, you have written about me a few different times. I am a first time home buyer and a Millennium. You always seem to be sharing a lot of info about us and I find myself nodding my head as I read some of your posts.

I have also done a lot of reading about what to do and how to do it, but after speaking to my girlfriend a number of times, she was in the same boat, but the practical information you gave them she tells me was priceless. I had to check it out for myself, so I’m ready to become a homeowner in 2016. I would like to set up an appointment to meet, when would be good for you?

I’m a big fan of blogging, I just wish I had gotten started long before I did, but I have become a real believer. The email above is just one more reason to keep doing it each and every day. Are you getting your message out?

Are you connecting with those that are reading your blogs? Is the information you share practical and easy to understand? Is it easy for the reader to see themselves in the posts you share?

I'm glad you're getting the word out for your mortgage services and that people are following your blog. I got a call as a direct result of my blog one day last week, so my goal is to continue focusing on neighborhoods and local posts.

Yes, the idea is to get your efforts out to the public, to educate, motivate and to entertain them. Followers will find you if you are consistent.

Good morning Joe Petrowsky,

Great example of how blogging works. My past clients read my posts and I received another call on Monday to meet with them yesterday. They read everything I write which keeps me top of mind to them. I sold them a house 2 years ago and they need to leave and return to New Zealand.  We will be going to market in January!

Joe we all hope we are connecting with those we are trying to reach through our blogs, and it is great when an e-mail like this is received to confirm that.  I wish more of those who read our blogs would take the time to send an e-mail like this one.

Hi Joe - I am connecting.  My biggest client sale last year was a restaurant company who read my blog and hired me.

Yes Joe Petrowsky I certainly hope so, but I don't have as many solid returns as you do.

Good morning, Joe. My blogs for Hawaii have been well received as well and have been giving me business. In 2016, I intend to be even more targeted.

I get calls on my posts all the time too, Joe Petrowsky ... even ones where they think I'm the number to call for the recycling program I wrote about ... or an event chairman.  That's ok ... it means they read the post and got something of value out of it.  And they know I exist and what I do as a result of their call!

That's the holy grail of blogging... isn't it?  Have your blogging actually produce results.

Yes, but sometimes I get those weird callers asking silly questions like is the Cedar Park Veterans Park open to the public? can I list my home in your local paper for sale etc. I do get the good calls as well and have had several transaction close due to blogging.

Posted by Bob Ratliff, "Sold with Bob" (Robert Ratliff Realty) over 4 years ago

That is a great note, Joe.  I recently got a call from a customer who called us originally in 2012 and now she is ready and loves the emails and blog posts.  I also wish I had started sooner.

That's super cool Joe Petrowsky! As far as I know, no one has contacted me due to blogs, but I'm going to keep with it.

Joe Petrowsky -- It is GREAT to get such an email. I think there are many lurkers out there who read our posts but never say anything.

I did close an escrow recently where the Buyers said they picked me to represent them because of my blog posts about working with cabins and rural properties.

They wanted someone who knew about septic systems, wells and off-grid living.

Joe, thanks for sharing. I think a key is having the information that people really want to know. If we are consistent with that we become a return to source of good information. Then comes the connection.

Hi Joe Petrowsky - I blog for a number of reasons, but the main reason is to connect with people.  My main goal is to get people to my website .  I am shameless! My website is content rich and if I don't blog and use social media how else would I get the word out?  Because we are a tourist area, I have landing pages that will help tourists with everything they need without leaving my website.  If they decide to buy real estate great!  If not, that is AOK.  I am happy to provide information about the area I love.

Joe Petrowsky some are 'scared' of blogging, however, if one has a purpose and ability to reach audience, one should blog - and send the message out (and make sure that message is reaching the right market segment.)
