“Referrals to Insurance Agents”
I have not hit my 2015 goal for the amount of referrals I give insurance agents or even the number of referrals I gave out in 2014. In 2014 I gave out 123 referrals and so far this year 116, four short of my goal.
I refer to a dozen different agents. Most of them handle different types of insurance so I can usually send all of them business throughout the year. All of them send me business as well so my efforts are definitely rewarded.
I am constantly being told by my clients how delighted they are with what the agents have done for them. Here is an example:
I went with Kate and switched all three of my auto policies over to her! You were right, the bid for the home I’m buying was so much better than the company I WAS using. Thank you she was great!
By the way, I have an appointment with the mover, he’s coming over next week. Thank you again for all the help.

Your results are amazing nonetheless. I wonder if the reason they're decreasing is because you have so many repeat clients who you already referred and/or they may be telling their friends (and referring you at the same time).

I would consider referrals to casualty agents but NEVER to a life agent.

Referral partnerships are great when it's a two-way street. I've had to cut off quite a few referral partners over the years as my efforts were not being reciprocated.

Giving referrals can be a tricky situation. Now days, I only refer lenders. I leave the rest to the others to refer. Well I do refer Realtors outside my area as well.....

Independent agents have a variety of options and often are much more competitive than the singular companies that some people have used in the past.
Joe, 116 referrals is just amazing! We all know great people in the industry who not only have good products but truly provide top of the line service, it is a pleasure to refer them business!
Joe even though 116 referrals are 4 short of your goal, that is still an amazing amount of referrals. You are a referral machine my friend.
