“I Am NOT a Fan of Jeb, Donald or Hillary 2”

I Am NOT a Fan of Jeb, Donald or Hillary 2”

June 25th, 2015 I wrote the Blog below, it’s time for me to address this topic again.

http://activerain.com/blogsview/4688327/-i-am-not-a-fan-of-jeb-donald-or-hillary-

It is hard to believe that I would ever make this statement. If my choice was Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton for President I would vote for Hillary Clinton. I admit there are a number of issues that he put on the table that were worth supporting, but I would fear for our country if he was ever elected.

I consider myself a Patriot in every sense of the word, but to make a statement to ban all Muslims in this country is akin to what happened to the Jews in Europe in the era of Hitler. This is an area that is extremely painful for me.

I have to admit, I had said that if he was the Republican nominee I would vote for him. I must have been out of my mind. He is a bully that preys on the emotions of Americans that are frustrated with the leadership in this country. Believe me I understand this frustration but there are much better options.

Is there the “perfect” candidate? Hell no, but Marco Rubio, Chris Christy, John Kasich and Carly Fiorina are much better options and yes, I have issues which each one of them.

Let me know your thoughts. I know this is not an easy topic but one we need to address.

Hi Joe.  Typically I never comment on political posts and just refrain from giving my views in public.  However, the latest Trump antics are about as horrible as anything I've seen in politics.

It is good to see your comments. I avoid taking political positions in blogs but do agree with your observations.

Hi Joe.  Anybody but Hillary.  I agree Trump is a bully but the Constitution would prevent him from banning a religion.  The next President will have three Supreme Court appointments.  I don't won't Hillary making those appointments.

Good morning Joe.  You sir are getting into something that will either bring you praise of criticism (I suspect both).  Having said that I agree with Conrad... Enough said.

Good morning Joe! After his latest rant, may be left with no candidate. Hillary is just as repulsive! Enjoy your day!

Good morning Joe,

Throughout our countries history we have had aversion to many ethnicities. nationalities  and because of the Constitution and a majority of us that understand we became a great nation and one that will prevail.

Maybe we could find a legitimate candidate and use the write in ballot!

Make yourself a great day.

Sometimes, this all just makes me want to move to another country.  I wouldn't, but I hate that there are always issues w/ all of the candidates and it makes me wonder if the issue is the system or type of people it attracts.

Joe Petrowsky I generally agree with you, but not this time. Hillary is the worst possible choice.

And Trump has really tapped into the public mood. I think a Trump/ Cruz ticket would be the best possible world.

I am glad the election is months away. I hope we will see a strong candidate surface that is a true leader. It is scary right now.

Good morning, Joe... for me the jury is still out (except that I know I won't vote for Hillary under any circumstance). There is, unfortunately, no perfect candidate and I could make arguments for and against all of the Republican candidates. That being said, everyone has been predicting the demise of The Donald since he announced.... and his demise is not even close. And I keep thinking that he is tapping into something that really resonates with Americans and that to some extent they respect him for saying what they are thinking and for addressing their fears. No in-side the Beltway bull with him. And I think most of us are tired of the Beltway bull.

Joe, I can't say that Trump would make a good president, but I am leaning toward him. If nothing else he has started conversations and changed some of the "same old" rhetoric we've heard from politicians year after year...one broken promise after another pandering for our votes.

Regarding Trump's last statement that everyone is taking him to task on...what he says makes perfect sense to me...if you want to stop a cancer, you must stop the spread of it. I just don't agree with trying to compare what he suggests regarding not allowing Muslims into the states to the Japanese internment camps or what happened to the Jews...it is simply not the same. Bottom line as I hear is view is "lets not let a problem into our country". Sure some good people will be kept out, but along with that...hopefully...some would also be denied entry who would blow up a building or go on a shooting spree and killing lots of Americans...some of which could be my family or yours. And, if that happened...if you lost a loved one to someone who slipped in through the cracks under the guise of coming to the USA for a better life or refugee status....what would your position be then?

We all have our opinions and I'm not saying that Trump's suggestions are ideal, but does anyone have a better idea? In case you haven't figured it out yet I totally agree with Nina Hollander

Joe, I share your fear and concern. I'm hopeful that, by the time elections roll around, Trump will have taken his ball and gone home (e.g., split from the Rebublican Party) and decent, viable candidates will emerge. I refuse to believe that the hatred, bigotry, and bullying attitude shown by Trump reflects most of us in the United States.

Good morning Joe. We disagree on most things political but I like you anyway. I always opt for the smart person and I support Hillary because despite anything else she is clearly very smart. Trump is scary and I diagree with your analogy about the Jews. The Jews were targeted for sur but not through anything they did or represented. That said stigmatizing all Muslims is unacceptable and un-American.

Girl Power all the way!  I think Hillary brings years of first hand experience running the country because let's face it - behind every successful man is a WOMAN.  She was right there while Bill held office.  Donald needs to go back to firing people and let the professionals handle running the country.

I would be surprised if he accepts the nomination. He likes to be in control and I wouldn't be surprised if he uses his electorial votes for the person of his choice.

Since I've been able to vote, it's always been the "lesser of 2 evils", and it makes me sad.  I look forward to a day when I can be proud of someone I support.  The next election doesn't look to be that day.  I still may vote, not as a vote 'for' someone, but as a vote against someone else.

Joe I will NOT be voting for Trump, but I would not vote for Hilary if she was the only candidate on the ballot.  In many ways she is far worst than Trump.

I doubt he will get the nomination abut as for being more selective how we let the Middle Eastern refugees come into our country, a moratorium would be nice, especially after what happened in CA last week

It's a good thing for country to get back an open debate about the election and openly listen and debate both sides to the argument.

Good luck and success.

Joe I am surprised this did not get the coveted Gold Star, then again I keep forgetting  the platform is not owned by people who like to make controversial statements and make Realtors look bad...   I personally try not to make political statements, religious statements as well as anything too controversial... at the same time I am not afraid to be politically incorrect and take a stand. Now with that said I applaud your taking a stance.... Merry Christmas:)))))Endre

Well, you represent what I hear really going on...that when polls are taken, the concensus is quite general as to who someone would vote for, based on name recogntion, but it all changes come time to vote. I heard this on an NPR program about some of the past candidates who "went away" after an initial spurt of success, early in the primaries. Fascinating stuff. Good for you for re-addressing yourself!

I try to stay away from political issues affecting my mortgage functions but I will say this Joe Petrowsky :   You have the right to choose who you want.   I have the right to choose who I want.   The key to it is we ALL have to get out and vote our conscience.   After that, we must all stand behind the chosen leader and support the greatest country on earth.
