“The Personal Touch, Face to Face”

“The Personal Touch, Face to Face”

The other day I got an inquiry through my website. The individual filled out a bunch of information and then asked a dozen additional questions about the mortgage process, types of mortgages that might be available to him, down payment requirements and so on.

I always inquire what the best way for me to communicate back is whether phone or email. The answer that came back was Skype, something I use all the time with out of state and out of country clients. I let him know that would be great and scheduled a time that would work best.

We were sharing face time for nearly 45 minutes and I had the opportunity to answer all of the questions that he asked and it gave me the opportunity to ask a number of questions as well. He let me know he had been reading many of my blogs on Linkedin. We were apparently connected for over a year, but he was not anyone that I had ever known or heard of.

Ultimately the decision was made to work together. I handled his credit report while we were on skype. The credit was great and his income was even better. I let him know that I would get him a pre-qualification so that he could begin his home search. He was currently living in Manhattan but was planning on moving to Long Island.
