“You Helped Me When No One Else Would”

 

 

I did a mortgage for Mini in 2005, it was a subprime loan, at the time was 7.5%. This mortgage had been in existence for 10 years and just got paid off with the sale of the property.

 

After the loan was done that many years ago, I had not heard from the client, until yesterday. I didn’t remember the circumstances at the time, but we got the client a mortgage, based on credit, income and not sure what else.

 

Mini called me to thank me for the mortgage I got for her at the time. She kept saying that I keep telling anyone that will listen, “I tell them that you are a good man and color doesn’t matter to you, you helped me when no one else would”. WOW, you just never know the impact you make on another human being.

 

She told me she walked out of the closing today with over $51,000, the most money she had ever seen and was now going to live with her daughter in Georgia.

 

I love what I do for a living, sure there are times that it I can get frustrating, but a call like I got from Mini, it makes it all worthwhile.
