“You Just Never Know Where that Next Referral is Going to Come From”

“You Just Never Know Where that Next Referral is Going to Come From”

I was at a networking event the other day, probably 30 people there. I normally am not shy about going up to someone to introduce myself, even better if there is a group of two or more.

I was involved with a conversation with a printer, Realtor and person that creates software applications. Certainly the Realtor is someone that we could do business back and forth, the printer is always a good connection as they interact with a lot of people, but the software guy not so much.

You just can’t figure this stuff out, as I have already gotten two referrals from the software writer. I have already spoken to both of the referrals and they told me Dave says you are amazing at what you do. Wow!

Here is the lesson, you just never know. Each person you meet is a potential referral source and don’t take any one for granted .

I now have to figure out a way to send him some referral business as well. Any suggestions?
