“Hard to be a Proud American”

At the end of my workday, taking my 40 minute drive home, I like to catch up on the day’s news. I normally listen to CNN and Fox News to get some reasonable updates, as I want to keep myself informed.

proud americanBoth stations were filled with story after story about the Benghazi cover up, where 4 Americans were murdered and the IRS targeting of conservative groups and Israeli groups that applied for tax exempt status. They keep talking about the main stream media now participating with these topics like never before during the time of the current administration. I guess they have all figured out the current administration cannot be trusted.

I am not a fan of the current administration and it continues to live up to my distrust of them. Unfortunately many still see them doing good things, I don’t. I often wonder what does the world think about what is going on in this country?

A couple of months ago I took a mortgage application from a couple from India. They have been in this country for 8 years and are in the process of becoming citizens. I complimented them on this step and asked them why they decided to take this step. They said, in spite of the leadership in America, the American spirit is something we strive to be part of.
